Every morning, I would look in the mirror and agonize over my dental situation.

That was before.

Now - every morning - I look in the mirror and I smile. And I thank Dr. Lacey and his incredible staff (Stephanie and Heather) for the magic that changed my life forever.

Seriously. I thank Dr. Lacey and Heather and Stephanie every day for reconstructing my smile with the beautiful porcelain restorations -- creating a smile that my family and friends say they see a lot more these days.

But the real magic in the whole process is not really magic at all. It's the refined and practiced skills of Dr. Lacey and his staff and their attention and dedication to detail. They were also unbelievably supportive as I tackled the restoration project.

Their support and their caring approach during my dental work is something I will never forget.

See ... now I'm smiling again! Can't seem to stop.

Dr. Lacey is the best dentist I've ever been to and he didn't have to bribe me to say that! After some bad experiences with 2 different local dentists I started having true panic attacks in the chair other than a routine cleaning. They both caused damage and I was left with a lot of pain. Dr. lacey turned everything back around for me. He explains things and has a gentle approach. He always checks in with you to see if you are doing OK. I recommend him to everyone anytime the subject of a dentist comes up.

Earlier this year I decided to visit a dentist after roughly 10 years of hiding from the experience. At first I became the patient of another dentist in Durango. After several fillings and numerous follow-up visits, my teeth were actually more painful than they were on my first visit. It was obvious that I needed to change. I thought you might like to know how good I felt when I left the office on my first visit. This was the best dental experience that I have ever had. The front office to the back office was extremely professional. I stopped going to the dentist due to very bad experiences that I encountered during my past visits in another state. I have been coming to San Juan Smiles for six years. When I first met Will my teeth literally hurt. Will and his staff set me up on a plan to repair old dentistry and to improve the health of my mouth. Six years later I have a great smile and my teeth no longer hurt. San Juan Smiles is a FUN place to go for your dental needs. I followed my dental hygienist there a few years ago, knowing nothing about who the dentist was, but Dr. Lacey has taken such good care of my family and me that we now consider it our dental "home", even though our hygienist has moved on. Incidentally, your photos on your website are simply the best. They are symbolic of the special team the four of you make. Not many dental offices can claim "no turnover". I've always been self-conscious about my teeth. Even after having a lot of dental work done throughout the years, I never had healthy looking teeth. Over time, much of that dental work started to fail and it was time to consult with an expert to really solve the issues I was having. I'm so privileged to have been introduced to Dr. Will Lacey. Instead of discussing the replacement of just what was broken, he really looked at the big picture and created a plan to give me stability, make sure the dentistry I was investing in had longevity and finally that it looked great. In just a couple of months, I am now free of decay and breakdown and have a really stunning smile that fits me. My wife loved my teeth so much, she also got veneers! I had porcelain veneers from another dentist and was never satisfied with the quality or color. In fact, two of my front porcelain veneers had hairline cracks. My initial reaction to having my veneers redone by Dr. Lacey was complete confidence. This confidence was based on my positive experience with Dr. Lacey's professionalism and willingness to go the extra step for his patients. I LOVE my new smile I love everything about it. I love the shape, color, texture and bite. I also loved how Dr. Lacey and his team spent so much time with me to make me feel informed, comfortable and ultimately completely satisfied. I was very frustrated with my old dentures. I didn't go anyplace without plenty of denture adhesive and I was very limited on the variety of things that I could eat. I was apprehensive at first about the work and cost of the treatment but now know that it was worth it. My quality of life has greatly improved. At 75 years old I thought it might not be worth the expense but it definitely is. It is amazing to have a denture that is stable. I have fought the "floating" denture for so long. It is great! I am very pleased with my implants and new dentures. I can be very comfortable going out to eat and have all the choices to order. Just being able to eat a sandwich is a luxury! I don't have to stop and apply adhesive in the middle of a meal!!

I was sad that one of my top front teeth-the teeth people see most-was noticeably discolored. Also, some of my other teeth had cracks that were visible. I was very self-conscious about all of this and wasn't sure what I could do about it.

Initially, I was a little bit worried about having veneers done, but this worry faded because I trust Dr. Lacey and his team. They know what to do. I am impressed by their skills and use of technology.

Now that my new smile is complete, I feel great! I don't worry about having to give an oral presentation at school or work. I still receive compliments about how nice my teeth and smile are.
